Q: What levels of service do you offer?

A: Every customer is different but primarily we are a by appointment service for the Ottawa area.
We meet at your convenience and location or schedule you in for an office appointment at our office downtown. Please call for an appointment first as I spend most of my day visiting my clients.

If you only have a couple of items but you would like
to take advantage of our superior payouts we provide a drop off service.

For our regional and national customers we provide a mail in service. We take pride in never having a single complaint. If you decide not to sell your items we are happy to return them.

Q: How does the Drop Off service work?

A: Send an us email with your contact information. We will review your items with you. If you like what you hear, we will email you a Drop Off form. On the form is our address and some basic instructions. When you drop off your items, present the form to the receptionist and they will sign it received. Our drop off location is at our office, 275 Slater Street, Suite 900, Ottawa, ON, K1P 5H9. Drop Off hours are from 9 to 5 Monday to Friday.

Q: How does the mail option work?

A: Send an us email with your contact information. We will review your items with you. If you like what
you hear, mail in your items using Canada Post Express service in a letter size bubble envelope. Your package
will be insured and traceable. We reimburse the shipping cost. We guarantee no hassles. We help our customers
know what the value is up front. Our mailing address is C.I.G.,  275 Slater Street, Suite 900, Ottawa, ON, K1P 5H9

Q: What kind of jewelry do you buy?

A: We buy any item that has gold content. For example a 75% gold item is hallmarked by 18K or 750.

Q: What don’t you buy?

A: We do not buy plated gold. The gold content is too low to have any value for refining. For example
jewelry marked with GE, GF, RPG, HGE, GS, GP and KP designate a plated item.

Q: What if the marking is no longer visible?

A: We have the knowledge and equipment to determine the gold content.

Q: How can I estimate the the weight of my items?

A: You can come close by doing a hand comparison between your item and the weight of Canadian coins.
A penny is 2 g, a nickel is 4g, a quarter is 5g and a loonie is 7g. Also, you can visit your local Post Office and ask to use their scale. I would place the items in an envelop first.
